French Courses Brush Up

• The course :
If you have forgotten most of what you once learnt or if you are afraid to talk, you will be able to get going, if you are pretty good you can improve even more ! These residential language holidays combine classes, cultural and leisure activities of all kinds, to give you a greater understanding of French life and a chance to get to know French participants who come to «brush up» their English, and share experiences with you. These are reciprocal courses and after classes days are alternately designated journée française or English day ; talking together in small mixed groups, helping each other, each one becomes both student and tutor. A good deal of your time will be devoted to everyday French, with the emphasis on speaking and listening, using active methods with role play, conversation... Even though this is a holiday with plenty of leisure activities, you will be asked to do some homework each day in preparation for the next lesson - but of course you will have the opportunity to use your French any time with French people on holiday in the centres. Before each course you will be asked to complete a questionnaire to help our tutors assess your level. There will also be individual interviews before you are divided into 2 or 3 groups - from lower intermediate to advanced each with an experienced native speaker tutor.
• Schedule :
Mornings : 7 classes of 3 hours -  using active methods.
Afternoons : optional leisure activities individually or in groups, alternate days speaking French or English, excursions, walks, cultural visits. Early evenings and after dinner : anglo-french activities, discussions, films, poetry, singing and other delights.
• Accommodation : You will be lodged with full board. Single or shared room depending on your choice and our availabilities. You are responsible for your own room during your stay, un less you wish to pay for cleaning.

Double room : 835 €
Extra Cost single room : 144 €
Extra Cost with transport from Paris : 113 €
If you do not wish to attend the courses, deduct 355 €/person.

Prices include :
The course, full board accommodation from diner on the day of arrival to breakfast the day your leave. Sheets and towels.
Your room will be available from 16.00 and should be left free by 10.00 on the day of departure.
Prices do not include :
Renouveau membership (compulsory, non refundable) : Individual 13 € - Couple or family 19 €.
Cleaning and daily excursions.
The optional cancellation contract : 2 % of the cost of board, lodging and language course. Valid reasons of health or serious illness of close family members must be supplied. All cancellations must be made in writing.
